Washington, DC- 2/3/2015–Corner Alliance today announced its joint project with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Biomedical Research Advanced Information Network (BRAIN) and now commercially known as Insite, has been selected as a Top 30 finalist for the 2015 Igniting Innovation Showcase Awards, presented by the American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC), the premier public-private partnership in the government IT community. The new awards program selected 30 finalists from a large pool of innovative government and industry solutions developed to address the government’s biggest IT challenges.
“We are excited that our work with NIH has been chosen as an Igniting Innovation finalist. Developing the BRAIN with the NIH has been a true partnership. Unlike many systems, the BRAIN has been developed based on user requirements and feedback. As a result, the interface and features are intuitive and require virtually no training.” said, Ron Prater, partner at Corner Alliance. “The BRAIN has been in use for over four years by one of the most complex and scientifically rigorous organizations in the world – the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The staff of the NIH, a $30B organization, have used the BRAIN repeatedly and successfully in high-stakes, mission-critical situations. Whether it’s responding to one of the many daily data drills or engaging Congress, the BRAIN and now Insite is used to streamline the response and ensure that answers are complete and accurate.”
Insite is a market-busting technology – there is nothing like it — that provides a collaborative cloud and web-based solution for presenting vetted information on demand. The system brings together four key elements that government leaders need to solve their problem and that no other solution currently provides:
- Insite is cloud-based, web-enabled, built with open source software, and offers an intuitive presentation and data management environment that is platform-agnostic and integrates easily with a variety of information sources.
- A presentation system that allows leaders to collaborate with their staff and advisors in real-time – while speaking at conferences, talking to a group of key stakeholders, or during high-stakes meetings.
- A system to automate the collection and management of vetted data from across an agency or organization. Insite automates that process cutting costs, boosting efficiency and providing the leader the confidence that the data is current.
- Provides one-click access for sharing vetted information on demand. Allows access to data in real-time and around the clock regardless of platform or device.
“We are proud to recognize the NIH and Corner Alliance for its dedication to advancing the mission of ACT-IAC by enabling government to improve efficiency and effectiveness through its BRAIN (Insite) solution, said Chris Smith, Igniting Innovation Program Chair. “Each of this year’s finalists has developed innovative and collaborative ways to creatively address government IT issues, our Showcase will highlight the best uses of these groundbreaking tools, services and solutions.”
The Top 30 finalists will exhibit their solutions at the Igniting Innovation Showcase and Awards event on February 5, 2015 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. The
Top eight finalists, selected via social media voting during the event, will deliver live presentations to a judging panel of government and industry professionals, as well as the entire showcase audience comprised of IT executives, influencers and media. Come to the Reagan Center on February 5, 2015 to cast your vote for Corner Alliance and the NIH’s BRAIN. Join the discussion about Igniting Innovation on Twitter: @actiac #igniteinnovation.
