As part of Corner Alliance’s annual philanthropy-focused Giving Week, employees and friends went to the Washington Humane Society this past Saturday morning to participate in a service project. Many at Corner Alliance are animal lovers and welcomed the opportunity to help our furry friends. Washington Humane Society (WHS), which was originally chartered by Congress in 1870 takes in approximately 43,000 animals each year. WHS is heavily reliant on the donations, volunteerism, and support of the local community to be able to meet its mission. In addition to the service project, Corner Alliance donated $500 to WHS. The average stay of a dog costs about $150.
